Not every customer knows exactly how much storage they'll need on day one — and that's exactly why the Rainwater Wall was designed to be modular from the ground up. This case study looks at a commercial customer who took the cautious route: starting small and scaling as their usage patterns became clear.
The business initially installed a single Rainwater Wall panel to trial rainwater harvesting for basic site cleaning and irrigation. With only 1,000 litres of storage, it was a low-risk way to test whether the system fit their operations without a large upfront investment.
Once the team saw the reduction in mains water usage and the ease of maintenance, demand for harvested water on site increased. Rather than replacing the original unit, they simply added further panels to the same wall run, connecting each new unit into the existing pipework using standard globe valves.
The site now runs a multi-panel system, all connected in a single modular line, giving them substantially more capacity than their original single-panel trial — without any of the original installation being wasted or removed.
This project highlights one of the most practical benefits of the Rainwater Wall: you don't need to size for the future on day one. Start with what you need now, and scale the system as your requirements grow, panel by panel.
